Why I Started LadyWolf – by Maria Pagán

LadyWolf wasn’t just born—it came to life in the middle of mine.
In 2003, my family was deep into the game Call of Duty. They were all named after wolves and said, “You’re a lady and you’re one of us. You’re LadyWolf.” What started as a playful gamertag became a part of my identity—a mix of strength, intuition, and quiet power.

But it wasn’t until 2023 that LadyWolf became more than a name. After a serious neck injury in 2022, my health and spirit began to fade. I was diagnosed as disabled, battling depression, diabetes, and chronic pain. One day, I looked in the mirror and said, “This is not the end of my story.”
So I returned to what I knew—Nature. My roots. My faith. My grandmothers’ teachings. That’s when LadyWolf was reborn—not just as me, but as a mission.

I started crafting herbal remedies for myself: teas, oils, salves. I remembered what I had learned as a girl from my abuelas. I began formulating serums, lipsticks, and lotions. Then I took it further—I became a certified Skin Care Formulator through Formula Botanica, and LadyWolf truly began.

My Afro-Latina heritage runs through everything I do—without labels, just deep love for Earth and Creator.
From my mother’s Spaniard wisdom: God is in all things.
From my Taíno and African roots: We are one with Earth, and Earth is sacred.

LadyWolf is about more than products.
It’s about wellness, self-worth, empowerment, and awareness.
It’s about holistic beauty—beauty that starts within and flows outward.

Every product I create is made with intention and love.
